About Me

Hi, I'm Bridget! A 20 something wife to Dave and mama to Miss Abigail, who is mostly known as Abbie in these parts.  My greatest love, even before these two is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

It is my goal with this blog to help speak to the hearts of women.  I love sharing new recipes, giving frugal grocery/meal planning tips, DIY crafts and home decor, sharing God’s word and what He puts on my heart in regards to being a woman, being a wife, being a mom, and overall just being his servant and a good steward of what he’s blessed me with.

The summer of 2012 was a life changing season of my life. God lead me to an amazing conference called She Speaks- hosted by Proverbs 31 ministries based out of North Carolina. It was there that God finally got through to my stubborn hard headed heart that He wanted me to speak to and encourage the hearts of women. It's something I have always loved doing, but failed to use the gift He's blessed me with very well up until this point.

It is now, in this moment that I know when I am not being obedient to His calling in this life He has for me, that my life will eventually end up meaningless, and so by the grace of God, here I am. Broken yet whole. Dying to oneself, yet only to gain life from the one that truly gives it. May my words in this space always be glorifying to that of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I have always been passionate about the words in Titus 2: 3-5

"3 Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God."

It is one of my hearts greatest passions to do life intentionally as women in the way God has called us to do so.

So please come!  Join me as we discover together that our homes really are a reflection of what we choose to put into our hearts.  Allow God to grow us both as He challenges us in our daily lives as women, as wives, as mothers, but most importantly as His daughters!
